The Stuart Appleby Junior Golf's first Regional Series for 2012 was played at Australia's #7 ranked course, The Metropolitan Golf Course

"The Metro" is located on the famous "Melbourne Sanbelt" with bunkering by the legendary Dr Alistair MacKenzie, designer with Bobby Jones of Augusta National, and by himself of Cypress Point, Royal Melbourne, Kingston Heath and so many of the iconic courses around the world.

A comedy of errors saw us arrive without Karl's clubs, so an urgent dash back over to Karl's home course got us back to "The Metro" with just minutes before his Tee Time, leaving Karl without a warm-up.

140 players entered, with Karl competing in the "A" handicap section against players aged up to 17 years.

He shot 83 for the round. With his Fairway woods unusually erratic, Karl relied heavily on his Driving and short game to shoot a solid score.

2011 Stuart Appleby Junior Golf's "Signature Tournament"
Postponed from December 2011 with an Under 12's, this is the only tournament with an age division younger than Under 14, so Karl was looking forward to this one for a while.

Karl became the youngest player to play in a Pro Am of a major tournament in Australia when at age 10 years he was invited to play in the 2011 Australian PGA Pro Am.

Karl was interviewed for Channel 7's Sunrise program during the 2011 Australian Open. Karl showed Edwina how to play the XBox Kinect Sports Season Two.

One of Australia's breakfast shows ran a competition to find Australia's "Little Legend". With a prize of $10,000 up for grabs, it seemed like a good idea to enter Karl.

Channel 9 news, 8th August 2011 re: Karl's 2nd World Title Win.
Channel 9 News were the first station to broadcast news of Karl's 2nd World title at Age 9 years.
